Strategic Partner – David Levitan joined Battle Group as a Strategic Partner in 2019. In this role, David supports the firm’s strategy and planning for its investment activities within the telecommunications and network infrastructure markets. In addition, David serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of Waterleaf International, a provider of telecommunications infrastructure and technology services and solutions that enable municipalities and federal government agencies to implement and maintain smart telecommunications infrastructure (waterleafinternational.com).
David has over 35 years of experience as a telecommunications executive, with extensive background operating independent, sponsor-backed, and publicly traded companies. Most recently, David founded Source Broadband Services via the acquisition of the services division of then publicly-traded C-COR Incorporated, successfully transitioning the division to private ownership with the backing of industry investors and partners. After leading the company for several years, he saw its successful sale to what would become SBS Service Corporation (DBA Tachyon Communications), which he led as CEO. Prior to founding Source Broadband Services, David served as President of C-COR Network Services, leading a 400-person organization with presence across the US, and also held senior leadership and management positions across technology products, services and software at Scientific-Atlanta and Cablematrix. David’s background includes numerous acquisitions and integration programs and a history of successfully developing and growing innovative telecommunications enterprises.
David holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School.
