Maj Gen Lee K. Levy II, USAF (Retired)

Strategic Partner – Gen Levy joined Battle Group as a Strategic Partner in 2020. As a highly decorated former military officer, Gen Levy brings over 34 years of distinguished military service as well as substantial leadership experience in national and international security policy, acquisition, sustainment, logistics, global supply chains, advanced manufacturing, civil engineering, strategic planning, nuclear weapons and munitions, and military operations.

Currently, Gen Levy is a member of the NASA Advisory Council alongside various government figures, astronauts, scientists, and corporate executives. He is also President and CEO of The Levy Group LLC. Additionally, he has been appointed by the Governor of Oklahoma as a member of the Oklahoma Aerospace and Autonomous Systems Council. During his final assignment with the Air Force, Gen Levy was Commanding General of the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC), Air Force Materiel Command, headquartered at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He led nearly 43,000 total force U.S. and U.K. Airmen to deliver global combat effects for the immediate and long-term requirements of combatant commanders, allies, foreign military sales partners, and the whole of government. Though headquartered in Oklahoma City, the command comprised 73 global locations generating over $16B revenue annually.

His distinguished career also included multiple combat deployments, multiple joint assignments as well as 3 tours in the Pentagon. In 2013, as a general officer, he deployed to Southwest Asia with US Central Command, where he led and directed the US Forces Afghanistan global withdrawal and retrograde of US combat equipment and personnel to achieve POTUS directed regional force levels.

Gen Levy’s military career began in 1985 when he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Louisiana State University. He also has earned a graduate certificate in systems management from the University of Southern California, and a Master of Science degree in International Relations from Troy State University. Gen Levy also earned a master’s degree in national security and strategic studies from the Naval War College. Gen Levy’s education also includes completing Harvard’s John F Kennedy School of Government’s Senior Executive Fellows Program and Senior Executives in National and International Security programs. Gen Levy completed the Air Force Enterprise Leadership seminar at the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia as well as LOGTECH Executive Program at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler School of Business. Gen Levy is also a nationally certified corporate director through the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and was in the first-ever group to achieve this new national accreditation.

A New Orleans native, Gen Levy’s service decorations include the Distinguished Service Medal with oak leaf cluster and the Defense Superior Service Medal, among many others.
