Peter Nicholas

Strategic Partner – Peter Nicholas joined Battle Group as a Strategic Partner in 2020. In this role, Peter supports the Firm’s aerospace efforts across partner company strategic planning and operations, as well as investment sourcing, assessment and diligence.

Peter retired as President of TIGHITCO (www.tighitco.com) in 2019 after over thirty years of leadership within the aerospace industry:

• TIGHITCO – TIGHITCO is a diversified manufacturer of engineered products for aerospace, marine, transportation and the power generation industries with a focus on composite structures, insulation systems, maintenance, repair and overhaul services. Peter led TIGHITCO as President for 23 years, from 1996 until 2019, growing the company from a single facility in Atlanta to six facilities throughout the United States and Mexico via acquisitions and greenfield start-ups. Prior to his President role, Peter held positions as a design engineer, quality manager, and vice president of manufacturing.
• Lockheed Martin – Peter currently consults for Lockheed Martin on F-35 supply chain optimization. In addition, prior to joining TIGHITCO, Peter began his career with Lockheed Martin, working as a propulsion system engineer in the advanced development group, supporting research and development of powered lift applications.

Peter earned a BS degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida and resides near Atlanta, GA. He serves on the board of directors for the Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation.
